General Description
The recently refurbished villa is approximately 15 years old with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms and a double bed-settee. Hiring a car is not essential as the beach / town is a short walk away and taxis and taxi boats are plentiful and inexpensive. The lounge has a Satellite TV / DVD and the kitchen is well-equipped. The property also benefits from a private covered terrace with patio table and chairs.
A two double bedroom / two bathroom villa recently refurbished to include modern well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The lounge / living room also includes a double bed settee (maximum accommodation therefore 6 adults). There are 10 such villas on the complex sharing a large swimming pool surrounded by well-maintained gardens and secure parking. Turunc was until recently a small fishing harbour in a sheltered bay surrounded by steep mountains. It is quiet in comparison to the very lively resorts of Icmeler and Marmaris (next bay and next but one bays). Turunc, however could not be described as sleepy. It has over 30 bars / restaurants and many shops, but still retains the character of a small Turkish village. There are several daily boat trips available from Turunc harbour to include sightseeing and scuba diving and there are regular taxi boats to take you to neighbouring bays.

Features
Turunc combines the benefits of being quiet enough to have a relaxing / chilled out holiday and lively enough to enjoy the benefits of eating, drinking and partying at Turkish prices! The beach is beautiful and unspoilt and the sea clear and unpolluted. Relax by the pool or beach, haggle with Turkish vendors in the market or visiting the many neighbouring tourist attractions and resorts, Turunc has something to offer everyone.
Specification
Turunc is a lively little resort, yet very safe for young families who wish to relax whilst their children play on the beach. Eating out is casual, relaxed and very reasonable and the atmosphere is extremely friendly. Many ex-pats now live in Turunc and nearly all the locals are able to speak fluent English. For shoppers Icmeler and Marmaris have large indoor markets and Turunc has a market day every Monday (2 minutes walk from the apartment). The Turkish salesmen love haggling with the Brits so look for a bargain and make an offer.
