For the larger family or a group vacation. Detached. 3 bedroom newly converted barn- 1 double & 2 twin (6 Persons).
First Floor:
With canopied and beamed ceiling, the accommodation comprises a large open-plan lounge-diner opening out onto the private patio/garden area with views across the fields. The character of the old barn has been maintained with exposed granite lintels and unusual solid elm window sills.
The charming, fully integrated kitchen with all modern appliances is off to one side, with tasteful modern units and pleasant views overlooking paddocks and farmland. A feature wrought iron
balcony overlooks the stairwell leading to the ground floor.
Ground Floor:
With the entrance conveniently located near the car parking area the porch allows for the removal and storage of coats & boots.
Leading into the reception area with the stairs leading to the first floor there is ample storage for cases etc under the stairs.
Swallow Barn hosts three comfortably furnished, country style bedrooms with ample storage space. The master double bedroom has its own en suite shower-room and has double glazed doors leading to a private, sheltered patio area with table & chairs just perfect for morning tea in the sunlight. The bathroom features an old arched window allowing plenty of light. The two other bedrooms have two single beds in each and are very homely.
Patio/Garden Area:
Just outside the main living area the garden is part lawn and part patio with a table & ample seating to ensure full enjoyment of the relaxing evening sunshine.
Changeover day is Fridays.

The farm buildings have been completely redeveloped to the highest of standards and fitted to a very high specification assuring your comfort throughout your stay. Across the courtyard from the main house, the self-catering accommodation comprises of two detached, newly converted barns.
Great Value Great Service... No need to overload the car unlike other self catering accommodation holidays, your stay with us includes all bedding, duvets, bathroom towels and tea towels. Our guests need only provide beach towels! Each unit is fully equipped with crockery and cutlery together with clothes washing facilities, dishwashers and microwave ovens. As well as the main colour television in the living area every bedroom has its own small colour television. All electricity and heating is included in the price and there are no hidden charges.

Ample parking if you want to bring your own boat. With plenty of regattas to attend, Falmouth is renowned for its sailing and power cruising.
We have wireless internet connection close to both barns and incorporated DVD players and a digibox for those lazy days, home from home.
A Special Welcome... Guests staying for 1 week or more can expect a complimentary 'Welcome Basket' with samples of local Cornish produce - cheeses, cottage loaves, fudge and yogurt. We also provide a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and milk.

Being just off the main A394 near Falmouth, we are conveniently located to enable our guests to travel all over Cornwall with ease. However for those wishing to relax, the newly refurbished accommodation and facilities also provide the space to 'take time out' and recharge your batteries.
Out And About In Cornwall...
Helford River, a lush wooded estuary with breathtaking exotic gardens and pretty waterside villages is also well worth a visit, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the views. There's something for everyone in Cornwall!!
Cornwall has a wealth of Tourist Attractions to keep you occupied during your stay with us. Indeed it would be impossible to list them all here, so we have selected a few to wet your appetite. We have also listed a small selection of Cornwall's famous Gardens many of which are subtropical due to the Cornish mild climate.
Golf Courses in Cornwall For those wishing to go fishing or play a round of golf we provide a comprehensive choice of suitable, quality venues for all abilities, all within reasonable travelling distance from Carnwidden. Most golf courses average around 18 holes and are generally on parkland, with many having magnificent views of the local landscape or the ocean beyond.
Walking Cornwall
Discover parts of Cornwall that most visitors never see. Choose from an extensive choice of varied walking routes from bracing cliff top walks to fine lakeside and woodland walks - the choice is endless. Bring your binoculars as bird watching is a favourite around Stithians and Argyle Lakes.
Take a picnic with you or settle at one of the many village pubs/cafe's. Being just a short walk from the village of Longdowns, the Stonemason's Arms provides traditional meals and excellent company. Alternatively you can travel further afield and try out one of Cornwall's most famous restaurant's 'The Trengilly Wartha'. What more could you want!
Cycling Cornwall
As part of our service we provide our guests with detailed maps of the bridleways as well as numerous and varied walking and cycling routes. A cyclist's haven, Cornwall's fresh sea air and variety of cycle trails could make this a holiday to remember.
There are off-road trails/paths up to 11 miles long, taking in the breathtaking views of Cornwall's historic and varied landscapes.
Cycles, tandems, tricycles, trailers and tag-alongs may be hired from Bissoe Tramways Cycle Hire. Enjoy a day cycling amongst Cornwall's old mine workings and beautiful wooded valleys. You may even fancy a leisurely cycle through the country lanes to one of the many fine inns and restaurants located in the picturesque villages of Cornwall. Why not cycle the 'Cornish Way' and experience part or all of 'The Engine House Trail' forming part of Route 3 of the National Cycle Network.
Fishing Cornwall
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned campaigner we can provide you with details of the most suitable locations. If you are interested in Fly, Coarse or Sea Fishing we can keep you busy with an amazing amount of sites for you to choose from. Carnwidden is conveniently located to enable the fisherman to experience a variety of locations and scenes, be it on the edge of a tree-lined lake or on the ocean in one of the many sea fishing boats for charter from Falmouth or Porthleven harbours.
On Carnwidden Farm....
There are plenty of animals to see. The chickens and ducks wander freely, as do the farm cats and and 'Roxy' our friendly Springer Spaniel. There are horses and ponies galore in the separate livery yard area, although supervision of young children is required. There is also an abundance of wildlife to see, from buzzards to wild rabbits and the occasional tawny owl.
You will find a safe environment at Carnwidden if you have children. Plenty of things to keep them amused while you relax. Carnwidden has private gardens and parking, and each barn has its own BBQ for those summer evenings.
