General Description
The first floor apartment sleeps 8 + 3 in 4 double bedrooms (with double beds not twins), 1 with a single bed, 1 bed-sitting room and all have fitted shower ensuits. The sitting room has a DVD, radio and every room has a table and chairs for writing those postcards. There is a kitchenette for your use with gas cooker, microwave, fridge, sink and all the crockery and cutlery required. A high chair and cot are available for small children and babysitting can be arranged.
Bed linen and towels are included and changed weekly. Pool towels are available on request too.
The apartment is usually booked Saturday to Saturday on an exclusive basis but we can accommodate a minimum stay of just 3 nights on a non exclusive basis if required for those travelling on to other venues.
Features
Self-catering farmhouse apartment is 180msq and situated atop of a small hill on the Tuscan-Umbrian border with views of mount Cetona and the medieval town of Citta della Pieve. In easy reach of lake Trasimeno, Orvieto and Montepulciano and just a short distance to shops, markets, restaurants, a thermal spa, banks and transport links .
Within the private three hectares surrounding the property there is a large swimming pool with loungers, an outside covered eating area, patios and quiet sitting areas in the olive grove for your enjoyment. Within the apartment there is a Non-smoking policy for the comfort of all our guests. The ex-pat owners are on site if you should need help or advice during your stay and clean the pool daily.
Specification
The pool and grounds are for the exclusive use of our guests during their stay. There is a golf course, thermal spa about 30 minutes drive away. Lake Trasimeno has many water sport activities, islands and historic sites in under 45 minutes drive. Orvieto and Montipulciano are 45 minutes and Perugia is an hour by local bus, that winds its way through the villages, making a wonderful tour.
There are wine cheese and salame tasting opportunities in Castglione del lago as you walk through the town but if you would like to taste wines at a working vineyard we can recommend several places that also can provide meals as a great day out.
During the year there are many religious festivals, saints days and local produce celerbrated by the small towns that are a wonderful experience and unlike anything seen in the UK.
