Look after the UK's economy and save - why not take a break in the UK this year?
8th October 2008With budget airlines increasing their prices and all of us feeling the pinch in our pockets from increasing food and fuel prices, it is tempting to give up on the idea of a holiday altogether. So why not try exploring the UK for a change? There are thousands of self-catering properties to rent across the country.
The main advantage of going self-catering is the economies of scale compared with, say, hotel accommodation. You can book a 3 bedroomed cottage for as little as £300 for a week - divide that by 6 and you are looking at £50 each! Plus you are not paying for flights.
Take a look around. There are some wonderful properties available in fantastic locations - whether you are looking for a rural retreat, a beachfront apartment or a swish city apartment.
You'll also be able to deal with local, friendly people.
Just make sure you take an umbrella just in case - it is the UK after all!
